When Nickelodeon Magazine started in June 1993, it came out quarterly, then bi-monthly (beginning February / March 1994), with monthly publication (except January & June) starting in August 1995. Since then, Nicktoon characters appeared on the covers 36 times, some just small pictures in the margins or part of a bigger picture; others, full cover pictures. In case you're wondering, the first Nicktoon to appear on the cover of Nick Magazine was Ren & Stimpy in the "Summer Swimsuit Issue", which was Nick Magazine's first regular issue in the Summer of 1993.
